Wildflowers, Meadows, and Magic: Five Gardens That Stole Our Hearts This Year
Get Inspired Week 114
“Each moment of the year has its own beauty.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
This year brought so many new gardens, and one thing is clear: people are moving away from manicured, highly structured, and symmetrical landscaping. More and more homeowners are envisioning softer shapes and an organic aesthetic. They may not always know exactly what they want, but we keep hearing the same words when they describe their dream garden: natural, meadow, wildflowers, and cottage.
Each and every garden we design is a unique reflection of our client. Here are five gardens that showcase The Inspired Garden’s imperfectly perfect style. You can read more about each of them and view more photos as well (as and our other gardens) on our Client Stories page.
The Inspired Meadow
The request: A front landscape that felt like a soft, flower-filled meadow.
Our approach: We redesigned the front beds with mounded shrubs, airy trees, and layers of perennials like catmint, salvia, agastache, and Russian sage, then tucked in annuals for extra color and dimension.
The result: A relaxed, meadow-inspired garden that gently frames the brick path and catches the eye from the street.
The Wildflower Vibrance Garden
The request: A front yard that felt like walking into a field of wildflowers.
Our approach: Because the beds near her home were narrow, we created a new garden near the entrance, layering in bright, pollinator-friendly perennials and weaving in annuals for nonstop color.
The result: A joyful, vibrant, perfectly imperfect garden — a true wildflower dream.
Blooming Majesty Garden

The request: A front garden to showcase this grand Victorian home and highlight its exquisite new stone path.
Our approach: We designed soft, overflowing layers of blooms along the walkway, using muted tones as a backdrop and punching them up with accents of deep magenta and orange.
The result: A colorful, romantic garden that reflects the charm and character of the Victorian era.
Meadow Magic
The request: Lots of flowers with a natural feel in peaches, soft lavenders, and pinks.
Our approach: We filled the front beds with drifts of soft shrubs and perennials, then drew the eye to the entry with shorter annuals and perennials in muted pastels.
The result: A fresh, inviting meadowscape that feels enchanting yet relaxed, with a touch of cottage charm to make guests feel at home.
The Showstopping Garden
The request: To stop traffic with flowers.
Our approach: For this office building, we filled large beds with dense plantings of dreamy perennials, then wove in bold, whimsical annuals to keep the color going through the seasons.
The result: A showstopping garden that turned everyday corporate landscaping into a conversation, bringing joy to tenants and visitors and quite literally stopping people in their tracks.

As this year winds down, we love pausing to reflect on these imperfectly perfect spaces and to thank the clients who invited The Inspired Garden to bring them to life. We look forward to watching these gardens fill in and bring even more magic in 2026.
Keep on dreaming,
Laura
